Meet a Mentor is coming to a town near you! This is your chance to access invaluable business insight from a dedicated, knowledgeable and experienced mentor based in your area. Or, if you have that business knowhow, it’s your chance to share it! Online connections and social media are invaluable tools for SMEs, but there’s nothing like making a personal, face-to-face connection with someone new. Again and again, attendees tell us that Meet a Mentor events have made a real, positive difference to how they approach enterprise and the success of their businesses. Joe Cripps (Joe_Cripps), who came along to our London event on the 13th May, described the experience as a “great opportunity to meet people from other worlds with shared experiences and challenges.”
Sarah Eyeoyibo, who attended the same event, was similarly enthusiastic. She said: “I will implement the ideas and it will push my business further!” Others tell us that attending Meet a Mentor has increased their confidence, sparked new ideas and raised their awareness of issues they may face in the future.
Michelle Smith, who connected with her mentor at the Bristol Meet a Mentor event on the 9th of June, said: “We will move forward with a much more focussed approach, with a mentor who is as excited about our business as we are.” Alex Gross, who was also at the Bristol event, picked up some helpful advice, saying: “Some great ideas on investment and working with partners.” Meanwhile, for some attendees, simply gaining a fresh perspective on their business is great. Asked what had been helpful, one attendee replied: “Seeing my business from different points of views and seeing different things that I need to work on.”
