More than 650 business leaders attended the MENTA Trade Fair on 3rd October, held at the Apex, Bury St Edmunds, beating all previous records.

The business exhibition was sponsored for the ninth consecutive year by Atkins Thomson Solicitors.

There was a vibrant atmosphere as the enthusiastic visitors chatted with over 100 business exhibitors who were showcasing their products and services.

Exhibition space was spread over two floors as well as displays outside in Charter Square. The businesses represented ranged from staff event organisers, training providers and trademark attorney’s to image consultants, printers and web designers. The winner of the Best Exhibition Stand was won by Frank and Earnest Crafted Coffee.

Students from the West Suffolk College, hospitality and catering department prepared and served brunch to delegates, made with Suffolk produce. Delegates had gathered to hear Suffolk based, international jewellery designer, Alex Monroe speak on how he has grown his company, selling his jewellery worldwide often via the major fashion shows, including New York and Milan. The brunch was supported by Invest in Suffolk who encourage businesses to relocate to the county.

For the second year running, Google’s Digital Garage expert held masterclasses to help businesses maximise their online presence. New for 2017 was a workshop on personal branding and executive presence from Marianne Muir.

The Trade Fair closed with a drinks reception for 50 business leaders, sponsored by Signpost 2 Grow, which included a jazz pianist, networking opportunities and delicious canapes.

MENTA Chief Executive, Alex Till, said he had received fantastic feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike.
