Interested in mentoring? Read this quick guide to getting started

AnchorWant to mentor?
If you are interested in mentoring, the Introduction to Enterprise Mentoring training course materials are still available to access on Get Mentoring, however you can no longer gain the certificate or attend funded workshops to do this course. To complete the course, gain the certificate, and connect with potential mentees online, join the IOEE. By joining you will also be the first to hear about upcoming Meet A Mentor events.
If you're interested in completing a mentoring or business support qualification in person take a look at relevant qualifications on SFEDI Awards and the training centres across the UK that deliver them.
If you're looking for a mentoring opportunity, as well as joining the IOEE, you can find out about organisations that have previously let us know they're looking for mentors here: Mentoring Organisations and NEA Providers.

AnchorLooking for a mentor?
If you're looking for a mentor, check out Mentorsme, Britain's first online gateway for businesses looking for mentors. Also, if you haven't already, don't forget join the IOEE to connect with mentors online and be the first to find out about Meet A Mentor events across the UK.

AnchorInterested in sourcing a volunteer bank mentor?
The IOEE also helps match bank mentors with businesses in four regions; the North East, Yorkshire, West Midlands and the Thames Valley. The bank mentors offer wide-ranging business experience and expertise in areas such as finance, marketing or exports, and can act as your trusted confidant over a flexible period of time. We help you clarify what you can and cannot expect from them. The nationwide scheme is part of the Better Business Finance programme, which was set up by five high street banks: Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, Royal Bank of Scotland and Santander, and is overseen by the British Bankers Association (BBA). For more information contact: Paul Harper for the North East, Yorkshire and Christine Dryden for the West Midlands and Thames Valley. Elsewhere in the UK? Visit Mentorsme.co.uk to find the contact in your region.
