This year, Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) took place from 16th to 22nd November and we marked each day in true IOEE style, with plenty of enthusiasm and innovation! At its core, GEW is a global campaign to promote entrepreneurship and motivate each new generation of potential entrepreneurs to get active and start their own businesses. Events taking place during the week are wide-ranging and diverse, with people the world over entering fantastic competitions, attending intimate and large-scale events, networking furiously and discovering all sorts of opportunities as they do so.
Our own input to GEW activities spanned the full seven days. Every day we made a key announcement, broadcasting news of entrepreneurial endeavor and opportunities to IOEE members and non-members alike. The response was great. On Tuesday we made the announcement that the IOEE has teamed up with world-leading hair stylists TONI&GUY to develop Creating Enterprise, a rich new learning programme designed especially for creative entrepreneurs. On Wednesday we shared news of two amazing challenges that we’re running in the coming months – the Lightbulb Challenge and Get Started. On Thursday we shared news that IOEE Certificated Apprenticemakers Champion Training will soon be launched. And finally on Friday we shared news of our move to larger premises. We have lots of work to do, but we are certain our new space will enable our exciting plans to come to fruition on 2016.
