This webinar is part of our 'Apprenticemaker' series of webinars, designed to help small and micro businesses make the most of apprenticeship opportunities.
This webinar rounded off National Apprenticeship Week and explores how apprenticeships can work for office based SMEs.
Often small businesses are looking for an office all rounder to help across the business with activities such as admin, marketing, social media and answering the phones. This importance of this role can sometimes be underestimated, but it can be crucial as a first point of contact with clients and essential support for a busy business owner.
This webinar helps businesses identify what kind of apprenticeship can support this crucial role and what businesses can do to make sure it achieves the best result for the apprentice and the business.
We were delighted to welcome as speakers:
Rachel Pearlman is an recently graduated apprentice and current marketing executive at Ginger Nut Media, a digital advertising business based in Colchester. The business works with many of the largest advertising agencies in the country including TalkTalk, The Times and Butlins. In 2015, after 4 years of success recruiting apprentices, the business launched Ginger Nut Training so that they could take on full training responsibility for their apprentices and train other business’ apprentices too. They now deliver apprenticeships in Marketing, Business Administration and Customer Service. Ginger Nut Media won the Small Apprentice Employer of the Year award at the 2015 East of England finals.
Chris Perry, is the MD of SWARM Apprenticeships, a business that provides apprenticeships with a difference for office based SMEs. As well as providing the standard apprenticeships in Business Administration, SWARM Apprenticeships support apprentices with enterprising skills to really build on an apprentice’s intrapreneurial skills in the workplace. The organisation’s flagship enterprise qualifications have created fantastic results amongst apprentices so far by helping apprentices demonstrate flair, initiative and independence in the workplace.
Join the webinar to find out how these apprenticeships work in practice and what you should look for both in your office based apprenticeship programme and your budding apprentices.
Many thanks to the National Apprenticeship Service, Ginger Nut Media and SWARM Apprenticeships for their support with this webinar.
The Apprenticemaker LIVE webinars bring the Apprenticemakers employer community to life by encouraging the sharing of best practice in apprenticeships.
