College pioneering enterprise learning in prisons wins Enterprise Learning Provider Award

The Manchester College, has been recognised for its passion and commitment in the field of enterprise education by scooping the Enterprise Learning Provider Award at the IOEE and SFEDI Celebrating Enterprise event.

The college won this award for its commitment in developing pioneering programmes which will take enterprise learning into the prison environment. The learning will help those interested in self employment on release and provide the opportunity for individuals to work towards a positive future.

The Manchester College has a long standing tradition of delivering high quality learning and skills programmes across the prison estate in over 60 locations. Over the past 18 months The Manchester College has been working with SFEDI Awards to deliver entrepreneurial programmes in 11 locations with 4 in the pipeline. The team work hard show how the benefits of embracing an entrepreneurial mindset and developing enterprise skills can have on their futures.
