National Conference Tackles The NEET Challenge

Statistics from the Office of National Statistics shows that as of September 2014, 955,000 young people in the UK were not in education, employment, or training.

This level is increasing as different groups of young people face a number of challenges in moving into enterprising outcomes, whether employment or starting their own business.

To overcome these challenges, there have calls to develop support and awareness towards being enterprising amongst younger people, particularly in terms of levels of engagement with smaller businesses.

This challenge will be discussed at the inaugural Max Life 1.0 Conference run by the Maximum Impact Student Association (MISA) at Northumbria University between the 31st October and 2nd November 2014. The three-day conference will develop young people to become tomorrow’s leaders through several intensive leadership development activities.

Leigh Sear, from SFEDI Solutions, will be speaking on leadership potential for 21st century people and the mind-set associated with being enterprising.

Sign up for the conference here, and feel free to contact Leigh Sear with any questions.
